NAMIC: Brain 2-4 years old (Size: 124Mb)

Data for 2 autistic children and 2 normal controls (male, female) scanned at 2 years with follow up at 4 years from a 1.5T Siemens scanner. Files include structural data, tissue segmentation label map and subcortical structures segmentation.

There are 2 autistic children and 2 normal controls scanned at 2 years with follow up at 4 years. Face information (area containing nose, mouth, chin) has been manually removed from the sMRI data by using itkSNAP (3D brush).

In each subject folder (????-???), there are two folders corresponding to each scan:
  • ????-???-01: Time 1 (scan at 2 years old)
  • ????-???-02: Time 2 (scan at 4 years old)
Each scan folder contains 5 files:
  • ????-???-??_10_T1.nrrd: T1-weigthed image
  • ????-???-??_10_t2_fit.nrrd: T2-weigthed image
  • ????-???-??_10_pd_fit.nrrd: PD-weigthed image
  • ????-???-??_10_t2_fit_hard.nrrd: Tissue segmentation label map image
  • ????-???-??_combSegHAVCPG_newHippo.nrrd: Subcortical structures segmentation
Data Description:
  • Structural MRI: All scans are conducted on a 1.5 T Siemens scanner. Sequences include: a T1 weighted inversion recovery magnetization preparation (IR Prep) sequence with a slice thickness of 1.5 mms in the coronal plane, TE=5.4, TR=12.3, NEX=1, FOV=20 cm; flip angle = 40o; 256 X 192 matrix. PD/ T2 weighted fast spin-echo images will be acquired with the following parameters: 3.0 mm coronal slices, TE = 17/75, TR = 7200 ms, NEX = 1, FOV=20, 256 X 192 matrix.
  • Tissue segmentation: Atlas-based automatic tissue segmentation via an Expectation-Maximization scheme
  • Subcortical Structures: Left and Right manual segmentation of amygdala, caudate, hippocampus, lateral ventricles, pallidus, putamen
